Comox Valley Tree Surgeons
What’s a tree surgeon? A tree surgeon is a highly skilled arborist.
Though there’s no official ticket or certification indicating that an arborist is a “surgeon,” the proof of competence is in the reputation of the arborist and the quality of the arborist’s work.
A great way to ensure you have a professional arborist with the mad skills to qualify as a tree surgeon PRIOR to letting him or her work on your trees is to make sure they are ticketed as either a Certified Utility Arborist or an or ISA Certified Arborist.
A Certified Utility Arborist is a specially trained tree surgeon certified by BC Hydro to do tree work around high voltage power lines. An ISA Certified Arborist is a specially trained tree surgeon certified by the International Society of Arboriculture to do tree work.
The best way to prevent poor tree work and potentially irreparable damage to your trees is to check the certification of a crew BEFORE they start work on your trees.
